Special Questions

1. Is it harmful or dangerous for my TV?

No it is absolutely no harmful and there is no any danger for your TV. Your TV will operate in its "NORMAL" mode. And more, we will not recommend you to over adjust the "BRIGHTNESS" on your TV because it breaking the balance between black and white levels and therefore leads to spoiling projected image, and obviously, overly high setting of "BRIGHTNESS" on you TV significantly decreasing the lifetime period of the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube).

7. Does the room must be dark for viewing?

Now all video systems are best viewed in a darkened room if you really want the highest quality image. If your room gets sunlight that you cannot control and you are going to watch during daylight hours, a front-projection system is probably not going to work. Principle of projection is like the commercial movie theater, where the lights are turned down when a movie begins. A primary benefit to rear projection systems is that they are easier to watch when there is more ambient light in the room.

8. Is it hard to assemble or should I have some special skills to make a projector?

There is no need to have any special skills to assemble your front type projector. And the good work could be done in your free time for a couple of days, here we assume your much accurate work. But if you are going to build a rear projection device , you should have some, at least amateur construction skills and practice. Work on creating a rear projection unit is connected with building a large box (cabinet) that contains a system of big mirrors.

Special Questions

I'm familiar with the similar products on that theme and I have already got them and made some projectors. Here are the main questions that came from my own experience:

First Question: Does your projector solve the problem of blurry going from center to the boarders on an image?

Answer: Construction of projector allows to obtain an excellent resolution on whole image, and you can discern each "pixel" of projected image even on the edge of the boarders.

Second Question: Do you recommend to use curved screen for better image quality?

Answer: In our practice, we use only flat surface front or rear projection screens. Curved screen must looks rather strange...

Third Question: Do you suggest to use big 6X magnification flat projection lens?

Answer: Big flat lens - yes, But 6X ?! - absolute fiction! If only this lens would exists, it will be absolutely useless for projector. What an awful distortion would be, and who needs a projector placed at 1 ft. distance from the screen?
